Rate of Insecticide

With A Type Nozzle.Approximately 1 ml/sec. or 20 minutes for 1 litre Bottle with water

With B type Nozzle Approximately 1.5 ml/sec or 12 minutes for one Litre Bottle with water.Use 6 VDC Dry Battery for Economic Spraying.Full Charge Battery runs for 10 Acre Spraying and Expense per Acre Comes to only 10 paise.

Operating Instruction for "Heli Spray" Read Carefully 'all instructions and follow Directions strongly.

Attach Head with handle by screw and fly nuts.
Insert wire clips on the pins of motor.

Take the required dose of pesticide in the bottle and fix the bottle on the head.
Operating for the first time "Heli Spray" Use water for practice.

Turn motor On by pressing the switch on.

As the motor reaches the full speed slowly turn the bottle upside down.Liquid will flow the disc at unlform rate by centrifugal force, liquid will converted in the particles and will sprayed in the diameter 0f 5ft circular around disc. Keep the head at one end half feet above the crop pesticide will diffuse in 4 to 6 ft.length.

Dose of Pesticides

Steps In Determinations of Doses

For Cotton or similiar crops in one acre plot check how many rows you have if you have 40 raws.Walk one raw from A to B (See Diagram)and check how much time it takes.

If it takes about e.g.1 minute Total Spraying time for 40 rows will be 40 minutes.So for 40 minutes spraying you will required 2 litres mixture with Nozzle "A" Type if your want to spray 500ml/Acre insecticide.Prepare the mixture in two bottles with water.

If your crop is dense and time required to walk per rows will be 60 minutes, and prepare the solution if you want to spray 600ml. of insecticides & 2.4 litre water to make 3 litres 3 bottles mixture and spray on one acre crop.

If the crop is uniform like as paddy. Then consider 5 Feat Swath as one row and determine the time required for spraying on one acre plot and prepare the mixture as decribed and spray on one acre crop.

Use of Different Discs

Small Disc

When the crop is small in height, use Disc - 3, This disc sprays in 2 feet range.

Medium Disc

When the crop is medium or partly spread on groung. Use disc Type - 2.
This disc sprays in 3 to 4 feet range.

Standard Disc

When the crop is dense and completely covered on ground. Use Disc Type 1.
This disc spays in 4 to 6 feet range.

Use standar disc No. 1 for spraying on paddy or similar crops.

Change the Angle alhead to adjust the spraying on low height crop as to keep the bottle vertical.

Nozzle

A Type Rate for water: 1 ml/sec
B Type Rate for Water: 1.5ml/sec

Precautions Required While Spraying

Keep the head such that Insecticide goes away from the operator.Walk In the up wind side across the wind. Spray to the down wind side.

Keep walking While spraying,when you can walk ahead stop the spraying by turning the bottle up so as to stop the spray coming out from the head.

Keep away the head from the body while spraying. Do not approach near the head to see the spray Try to observe from distance.

Use hand- gloves, goggles. and mask while spraying, Protect your body

If the motor stops from running while spraying turn the bottle up to stop the insecticide flowing on the disc. You will save the wastage of insecticides.When motor runs at full speed, turn the bottle to spray.

After the spray is over take a little quantity of water in the bottle and spray the same water. All the parts will get washed and cleaned. Wipe the head by clean cloth.

After the spray is over detach the head from handle please take care not to drop the head or strike

Put only one drop of oil at the bottom of shaft if bearing of the motor gives noise or after every 100 hrs operations.

When The Spray is Not Good Check The Following

If the fillter is clogged.
Take the filter out from the head. Wash to clean the filter. Use funnel to take Insecticides and water in the Heli Spray bottle.

If the nozzle is clogged.
Pull out gently the disc by all the fingers around disc. Use thin wire to clean the nozzle. Set the disc hole. or the shaft and press gently to fix. Check for free running on both directions.

When The Disc is Not Running Check The Following

check that battery is fully charged?

check the wire clips and put the switch on

make sure for freeness of disc

switch on the battery and connect 6 volt small lamp on clips if lamp turns on wire and battery are good . put the clips on motor does not start please send the head for checking to the nearest dealer or write to factory. Do not open head or motor. No guarantee will be accepted on opened or attempted open head.
